Madame du Barry was called a mistress, countess and queen of King Louis XV, depending on their relationship to the king. Madame du Barry maintained her position with King Louis XV as an equal, surprising many members of the court.Madame Barry was known for her beauty, charm, high spirits, and consistent humor. After King Louis XV died, Madame du Barry lived in a small village for a time where she was known for her kindness to all, poor and rich alike.French Queen Madame du Barry -Even though the attributes of Madame du Barry was recognized by many, most of the court and other influential members of society held her in contempt, however, Madame Barry, held her own with these people in a straightforward manner without losing her faith in herself and most others.An example of her relationship with King Louis XV would be as follows: He allowed her to decide which plays and operas should be given at Court. Louis was always polite to her but it is said that he didn\'t have any respect of her. On the other hand Louis built palaces for her and encouraged her spending of vast amounts of money from the royal coffer.
